1. BLACK: NAME A SERIES THAT’S TOUGH TO GET INTO BUT HAS HARDCORE FANS

Nevernight by Jay Kristoff- This intense and intricate fantasy world, combined with lush and very flowery writing is pretty hard to get into. Nevernight is definitely not for everyone, but for those who enjoy the series, they are die-hard fans. I highly suggest you give it a shot if you’re looking for a bloody and fast-paced Adult Fantasy.

2. PEPPERMINT MOCHA: NAME A BOOK THAT GETS MORE POPULAR DURING THE WINTER OR A FESTIVE TIME OF YEAR

The Harry Potter Series by JK Rowling- This series gets so popular around the holiday time, and I don’t really understand why. I mean, I know some of it takes place during Christmas, but that seems like such a small portion compared with the actual story. I liked the series and the movies, but why does everyone reread Harry Potter during the holiday season?

3. HOT CHOCOLATE: WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE CHILDREN’S BOOK?

Hmm this is hard because I didn’t really read until middle school, but I guess I loved all the Rainbow Magic books. I had a bunch of them, and would read them every night before bed. The one I remember the most vividly was Holly the Christmas Fairy

4. DOUBLE SHOT OF ESPRESSO: NAME A BOOK THAT KEPT YOU ON THE EDGE OF YOUR SEAT FROM START TO FINISH

Winter by Marissa Meyer- This is the last book in the Lunar Chronicles, which is such a fun sci-fi series! Winter was jammed packed with so many action scenes that I was on the edge of my seat 90% of the time. I also was really curious how the whole series would end, so I read it in a day (which is unheard of for me for an 800 page book).

5. STARBUCKS: NAME A BOOK YOU SEE EVERYWHERE

To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before by Jenny Han- Ever since the movies came out on Netflix, I have seen this book everywhere: in Target, displays at local bookstores, ads on social media etc. And While I didn’t like the books, I can understand why others enjoy it. I did like the movie a lot though!

6. THAT HIPSTER COFFEE SHOP: GIVE A BOOK BY AN INDIE AUTHOR A SHUTOUT

Midnight at the Electric by Jodi Lynn Anderson- This is such a beautiful and underrated story that follows three timelines. I don’t how to explain it, so I’ll just post the Goodreads synopsis:

7. OOPS! I ACCIDENTALLY GOT DECAF: NAME A BOOK YOU WERE EXPECTING MORE FROM

The Darkest Star by Jennifer L Armentrout- I adored the Lux series by Jennifer, and this is a spin off series of those books, so I had pretty high expectation going into it (which was obviously a mistake). I think the characters fell flat for me, and I guessed the plot twist about 50 pages into the book, so that was a bummer.

8. THE PERFECT BLEND: NAME A BOOK OR SERIES THAT WAS BOTH BITTER AND SWEET BUT ULTIMATELY SATISFYING

I want to say Throne of Glass, but I haven’t read Kingdom of Ash yet, so I’m going to go with The Iluminae Files by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff. This YA sci-fi trilogy was so jammed packed with action, swooney romance, and the best AI ever! The last book, Obsidio, was such an amazing conclusion, but I was sad to never read about the characters I had grown to love again. I definitely think it’s time for a reread!
