O.W.L.s Magical Readathon Update #2

Hello everyone! Week two of the O.W.L.s have come and gone, and I’m happy to admit I only have one more prompt left to complete!

So because I’m trying to become an Auror, I need to complete 5 books for Charms, Defense Against the Dark Arts, Herbology, Potions, and Transfiguration. Last week I completed Transfiguration, Defense Against the Dark Arts, and Charms. This week I only read one more book that counted for my O.W.L.s, but I’ve read other books outside of this readathon:

So I completed Herbology: Read a book that starts with the letter “M.” The book I read for this class was The Merciful Crow by Margaret Owen (I decided that the “the” in the title didn’t count :)). It had such a unique magic system of bird casts and the different talents each cast possessed. If you’re looking for a unique fantasy, definitely check The Merciful Crow out!

Total pages read: 384

Now the only challenge I have left to complete is Potions, which is to read a book under 150 pages. I have two options for this, Watermelon Sugar by Richard Brautigan or I Hate and I Love by Catullus. I’m a mood reader, so we’ll see which one I end up picking in my next update!

P.S. I’m currently participating in the Reading Rush stay-at-home readathon, so I’ll be posting a wrap-up for that one it’s done!
