Blog Tour: XOXO by Axie Oh + Giveaway

Hey friends! I have such an amazing book to share with you all today. Not only is the cover and naked book absolutely stunning, but the story itself was also so cute! Keep reading to learn more.

About the Book:

Cello prodigy Jenny has one goal: to get into a prestigious music conservatory. When she meets mysterious, handsome Jaewoo in her uncle’s Los Angeles karaoke bar, it’s clear he’s the kind of boy who would uproot her careful plans. But in a moment of spontaneity, she allows him to pull her out of her comfort zone for one unforgettable night of adventure…before he disappears without a word.

Three months later, when Jenny and her mother arrive in South Korea to take care of her ailing grandmother, she’s shocked to discover that Jaewoo is a student at the same elite arts academy where she’s enrolled for the semester. And he’s not just any student. He’s a member of one of the biggest K-pop bands in the world—and he’s strictly forbidden from dating.

When a relationship means throwing Jenny’s life off the path she’s spent years mapping out, she’ll have to decide once and for all just how much she’s willing to risk for love.

My Review:

Rating: 4 out of 5.

Gahhhhh I have no words to describe how absolutely adorable and enjoyable this book was to read. I’m an avid watcher of K-Dramas but I don’t listen to much K-pop. XOXO, however, might just convince me to get more into the genre. This book has almost every trope you can think of: from boarding schools to famous pop star and y/n romance in secret. I gobbled it all up and read this book in one sitting.

Even though the main characters were the focus of the book and all the cute romance, I surprisingly loved reading about all the side characters. They felt like real characters that I cared about too rather than just flat, one-dimensional people in the background to aid or seperate the main characters. The romance between Jenny and Jaewoo is the main focus though. Sure it was cheesy at parts, but they both still made my heart so full with the tropes they served and Jaewoo’s development as he finally realizes what he wants was sweet to read.

I’d highly recommend this to fans of Made in Korea by Sarah Suk, or just YA Contemporary fans in general!
